[Risk No. 223] Jordan waited on a couple friends and I. I had just explained to them how my “One Thousand Risks” had been going and shared how simple it could be. I told them Jordan would be my next risk and that we would take it together. “Jordan, how can we pray for you, man?” “Hmm, that’s not a question I get very often. I’m addicted to alcohol, please pray that God helps me.” We held his hand and rebuked addiction. I encouraged him and was able to encourage my friends in the process.

Learning to care isn’t easy, and it’s rarely comfortable, but living sheltered is certainly not what Jesus demonstrated. By His grace, we’ll grow.
