[Risk No. 292] A man pushed our cart loaded with gear and luggage. We tipped him and I asked if he was dealing with a headache. He wasn’t. I asked if he had any needs he would like prayer for. He didn’t. Asked if we could bless him anyway. He agreed. We prayed that Jesus would accomplish all the work He desired to in and through him and encouraged him. Learning to pay attention to those most of the world pass by left and right is key, even if they don’t seem thrilled. Part of the challenge is that they aren’t used to being the center of attention. The poor and marginalized have always been the center of God’s attention.
