Gino.

[Risk No. 588] Gino is (maybe even “was”) a homeless man. I didn’t have any cash but asked how we (the family was with me in the car) could pray. “Pray for my addiction to alcohol and for my homelessness.” I was humbled by his quick and honest response. What if we were able to respond so quickly to a stranger’s open and sincere query?

We held hands during the short duration of a red light and sought the King of eternity. Commanded addiction to be broken off and to leave him completely, invited Jesus to fill him wholly.

Lord, use us to bless the broken. It’s why I’m here. Why we’re here.
